During event of Forum Kapasitas Nasional 2021 held by SKK Migas on 22 October 2021, Exxon Mobil Cepu Ltd. and PT. Luas Birus Utama commit to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for executing Field Trial and furthest application of STARSORB Acid Gas Removal Solvent which been locally produced in Indonesia by PT. Luas Birus Utama. The signing event carried out by ExxonMobil Indonesia Senior Vice President Production Muhammad Nurdin and PT Luas Birus Utama represented by President Director Bambang Sukmonojati, and witnessed by SKK Migas Deputy for Business Support Rudi Satwiko, and Head of the Division of Supply Chain Management and Cost Analysis of SKK Migas Erwin Suryadi.

Alkanolamine based Acid Gas Removal Solvent is the kind of solvent specially designed for removing CO2/H2S from feed gas stream to meet specific outlet gas specification. Since many years, this product used to be imported from overseas country has now been produced in Indonesia by PT. Luas Birus Utama, Starborn Chemical. It must be an advantageous for any natural gas producers and related industry in Indonesia which using similar product to get rid of dependency from overseas technology provider.
